The Grade II listed Winding Wheel Theatre is located in Chesterfield Town Centre, close to the famous landmark – the Crooked Spire. There are excellent transport links and parking close by, making the venue easily accessible.
The Winding Wheel Theatre caters for a wide range of events including theatrical performances, concerts, dances, talks, conferences, parties and weddings.
Rooms to choose from are the Auditorium, Ballroom and Function Room, which can be booked together or separately.
The Auditorium measures 21.7m long x 16.5m wide.
The Ballroom
The Ballroom measures 16.7m long x 14.8m wide.
The Function Room
The Function Room measures 17.45m long x 4.5m in width at the narrowest point and 6m at the widest point.
Kitchen
The Winding Wheel Theatre has 2 kitchens, 1 of which (below) is a large catering kitchen.
Access
The main entrance and Auditorium are accessible from street level and a lift serves all areas apart from the Circle. Adapted toilet facilities are accessible from all spaces and wheelchair user seats are available in the Auditorium. There is also a large ground floor dressing room.
In relation to performances, our technical team are experienced in delivering signed, captioned, audio described and relaxed performances.
